Landlord insurance
From one let property to a wider portfolio.
Residential letting insurance for UK property owners. We begin with ownership, occupation and the building, then discuss the cover and conditions appropriate to your circumstances.
A renewal, a change or a new requirement?
The conversation behind the cover
Who owns the property
Explain the ownership and who needs an interest noted in the policy. Company ownership, joint ownership and leasehold arrangements can raise different questions.
Who occupies it
The type of tenancy and how the property is occupied matter. Tell us about changes of tenant, any periods when the property is empty and changes to its use.
What needs to be considered
Start with the building and any landlord-owned contents. Ask which additional protections are available, what they depend on, and which risks would remain outside the proposed policy.
How a portfolio fits together
Several addresses can have different renewal dates, occupants and terms. We can discuss the properties together without assuming that every address belongs on one policy.
Useful to know
Before you enquire.
Cover depends on the individual risk, insurer acceptance and policy terms. Sending an enquiry does not put cover in place.
Explore residential letting & buildings ↗Can I discuss a single rental property?
Yes. The starting point is the property and the insurance requirement, whether you own one letting or several.
Does this replace a tenant’s own insurance?
Do not assume it does. Explain which contents belong to the landlord and ask the team to clarify the interests covered by the proposed policy.
Can a managing agent make the initial enquiry?
Yes. Explain who you represent and your role. Obtain appropriate authority and agree how to share client documents before sending them.
A direct conversation
Let’s begin with what matters to you.
